Geothermal Power

Consider a Coal Fire Power Plant, a Nuclear Power Plant and even some Natural Gas Power Plants, they are boiliing water, to create high pressure steam to then turn a steam turbine.  As much as we think we know, mostly what we do for electricity is leverage the expansion and contraction properties of steam.  Steam power is highly efficient, so its hard to beat, given currently technology.

However, it requires boiling water to work.  We boil water, using things we burn (Hydrocarbons - "Fire") to create steam to turn a steam turbine (Wheel) which then turns a generator (wheel).  Its a beautiful system accept for one fault.  If we can do something without the use of burning hydrocarbons, its much better for the atmosphere.

To retrofit our entire Coal, Nuclear and boiler based Natural Gas power plants, Geothermal Power makes the most sense.  Clean coal technology is basically pumping CO2 into the ground through deep drilled wells.  How about we use that same drilling technology to leverage the heat of the earths crust to boil water.

We have all of the technology we need to do it from coal mining, oil and gas and tunnelling.  We do all of those things very well.  Geothermal represents freedom from fire for base load electricity.  Which represents freedom from CO2 pollution for our second primary source of CO2.

Magma has been struc in Oklahoma at 20,000ft.  That means that we can go deep enough.  Exxon Mobile knows how to drill 7 miles deep. The heat we need to boil water for our base load electricity is in the ground below our feet.

Zenergy would love to see the Federal Government Fund and Develop this technology for commercial use.
